Bayern Kapital GmbH (Bayern Kapital) is a regional venture capital firm founded in 1995 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of LfA Förderbank Bayern, the government-owned Bavarian development bank. It is headquartered in Landshut, a town located in the state of Bavaria, Germany.

S-Refit AG, which stands for Sparkassen-Refit AG, is a regional private equity firm located in Regensburg on the eastern side of Bavaria in Germany. S-Refit was established in 1990 as an investment fund at the initiative of OTTI-Ostbayerisches Technologie-Transfer-Institut eV, the not-for-profit East-Bavarian Technology Transfer Institute. A stock corporation since 2002, S-Refit is a leading Bavarian holding company structured as a joint venture and financed by the region's Sparkassen, publicly-supported local savings banks. The firm manages the medTECH Capital fund, backed by Sparkasse Erlangen, and the S-Refit EFRE Bavaria fund, which receives public financing from the European Fund for Regional Development through the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology.
