Alex Boahen

Mr. Alex Boahen is a Head of Databank Research at Databank Brokerage Ltd.
He currently supervises a team of Economists as well as Financial and Equity Analysts who cover Ghana and selected sub-Saharan African markets.
He provides regular expert commentary on the economy and capital markets in Ghana to local and international media.
He brings on board 7 years’ experience in equity research, investment banking and corporate valuation.
He joined Databank Group in 2011 as a Senior Equity Analyst, where he provided coverage of the Fast Moving Consumer Goods, Oil Marketing and Cocoa Sectors in Ghana.
Prior to joining Databank, he was a lecturer at Regent University College of Science and Technology where he taught corporate finance, investments management and derivatives for two years.
He also worked with CDH Securities Limited as an Investment Banking Analyst.
He holds an MSc in Finance from the University of Gothenburg (Sweden) and an MSc in Business Administration and Economics from Stockholm University (Sweden).
