Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) is the central bank of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, established in 1952 to develop a Saudi currency. Based in Riyadh, the Agency acts as the central government bank, issuing currency, supporting the value of the Saudi Riyal at home and abroad and supervising and encouraging the development of the Kingdom's banking system in both the public and the commercial sectors. As the Kingdom's investment authority, SAMA manages the country's foreign assets inside and outside of the Kingdom.

The firms standards include risk management, capital adequacy, corporate governance, revised capital adequacy and development of Islamic money markets. The company was founded on March 10, 2002 is headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
