Founder of 6 different companies, among them: Infosys Ltd., Avanseus Holdings Pte Ltd. and Avanti Finance Pvt Ltd. Nandan M. Nilekani and presently occupies the position of Non-Executive Chairman for Infosys Ltd. and General Partner at Fundamentum Partnership which he founded. Mr. Nilekani is also on the board of Avanti Finance Pvt Ltd. and Chairman of EkStep Foundation (he founded the company).

He previously was Co-Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer at Infosys Ltd. (he founded the company in 1981) and Chairman for Unique Identification Authority of India (he founded the company).

Mr. Nilekani received an undergraduate degree from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.
