Mr. Mark K. Gim is a President & Chief Operating Officer at The Washington Trust Co. of Westerly, and at Washington Trust Bancorp, Inc. and a President at Rhode Island Free Clinic.
He is on the Board of Directors at Providence Athenaeum, Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra & Music School, Rhode Island Public Radio, The Wolf School, Miriam Hospital Foundation and Trinity Repertory Co.
He is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning process and daily operations of the Companyís key business lines, including the retail banking, mortgage and consumer lending, and wealth management divisions.
Mr. Gim joined Washington Trust in September of 1993, most recently serving as Senior Executive Vice President of Wealth Management and Chief Strategy Officer. Through his leadership of Washington Trust Wealth Management, the division saw wealth management assets under administration grow from $4.8 to $6.7 billion between 2013 and 2017. Prior to that, he served as Executive Vice President and Treasurer, with responsibility for Washington Trustís retail banking division.
Mr. Gim graduated magna cum laude from Brown University with a bachelor's degree in 1987, and a master's degree in 1988 from the London School of Economics in London, England.
