Wayne J.
Yakich has been Vice President of Praxair, Inc. since 2000.
He is President of Praxair Distribution, Inc. Previously, Mr. Yakich was Vice President of Business Operations for Praxair Distribution.
He joined Praxair in 1982 as Controller for a packaged-gases subsidiary and was appointed Worldwide Controller for Praxair Surface Technologies in 1991, Controller for the U.S.
Industrial Gases Business and Director of Financial Services for the North American Industrial Gases Business Unit in 1994, Director of the CBI Merger/Integration Project Office and Sales Director for U.S.
Merchant Gases and Director of Praxair's Global Reengineering Organization in 1996.
Mr. Yakich joined Praxair Distribution in 1998 as Vice President of Business Operations.
He received a BS degree in Biology from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Windsor and is a Canadian Chartered Accountant.
