Stephan Meier

Stephan Meier, President Stephan Meier heads up BZ Fund Management and is the Senior Portfolio Manager for both BZ Infra as well as BZ Senior.
Stephan Meier has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry.
His previous roles were the job as CEO of Bellevue Asset Management, where he had responsibility for the portfolio management, research and sales activities for the main products BB Biotech and BB Medtech in the years 2004 – 2006.
Before that Stephan worked for 17 years in different capacities at UBS.
After the first 5 years as a financial analyst for Swiss Equities, Stephan joined the London office of SBC as portfolio manager for European equities.
In the years 1995 to 1999.
He led the portfolio management and research team for Swiss Equities at UBS Global Asset Management.
From 1999 to 2004 Stephan was responsible for Product Management of Institutional Products.
One key task was the launch of UBS Alternative Portfolio AG, the first investment company to invest in both Private Equity and Hedge Funds.
Stephan graduated from Basel University in 1987.
He further holds the designations as investment analyst and financial expert of the Swiss education program AZEK.
Stephan is longtime member of the board of the Swiss Financial Analyst Association (SFAA).
He held the presidency of the SFAA from 2001 to 2003.
