Sara Riscado

Dr. Sara Riscado is Economic Analyst at European Commission.
She joined the firm in 2014 and he main research interests lie in the areas of labour economics and public economics.
Dr. Riscardo works for the Fiscal Policy Analysis team at JRC-Seville.
She carries out research and analysis in the area of public economy, with special focus on tax policies.
She develops and uses micro simulation modelling tools to assess the impact of fiscal reforms affecting tax revenues, employment and disposable income in the EU Member States.
Dr. Riscardo was an Economist of the Portuguese Council of Public Finance, where she was working on the development of macroeconomic forecasting tools.
She has also worked in the academia, namely as Visiting Professor of the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, where she taught and developed research in the area of macroeconomics.
Dr. Riscardo obtained her PhD in Economics from the European University Institute (EUI), in Florence in 2012.
She also holds a Master degree on European Economics from the University of Coimbra (2004).
