Mr. Johnson is President of Western Pacific Investment Advisers, Inc. and a principal in the firm.
He joined Western Pacific in 1993 and is responsible for overseeing the management of client portfolios, marketing and the operations of the firm.
In 1970, Mr. Johnson began his investment career, first as a stockbroker at Walston & Co, then in 1973 as an institutional broker at E.F.
Hutton.
As a Vice President at A.G.
Edwards & Sons, Inc., he provided investment research to a number of leading investment managers located throughout the country.
He also provided investment advice and management to corporate retirement plans, pension funds (including Oregon PERS), foundations and individual clients.
Mr. Johnson is a ROTC, Distinguished Military Graduate from Gonzaga University, with a BA in Psychology and minors in Business Administration and Philosophy.
He served in the Infantry in the U.S.
Army, Vietnam.
Assignments included platoon leader in the 101st Airborne Division, Battalion Advisor for the South Vietnamese Army and as a General’s Aide d’Camp.
He was awarded numerous combat medals.
Civic and political activities are an important part of Roger’s life.
He is the founder and President of the Board of the Citizens Education Commission, the Founder and Board member of the Citizens Crime Commission, Board member of the Portland Opera Association, and Treasurer of Mouse Lake Farms.
