The firm was founded by Kenneth Chiang in 2007 as the Chilton Investment Company (HK) Limited and was spun off in a management buyout on July 2014. Redwood Peak provides fund management and separate account management for high net worth individuals, family offices and institutions.

In 1915 Charles Edward Merrill founded Merrill Lynch & Co. (NYSE: MER) with Edmund C. Lynch in Baltimore, Maryland. The modern Merrill Lynch was formed in 1940 through mergers with E.A.
