Asset Management One Co., Ltd. (AMO) is a Japanese global investment management firm which was founded in 2002 as a joint venture between the Dai-ichi Life Holdings, Inc. (49%) and the Industrial Bank of Japan (IBJ), now the Mizuho Financial Group, Inc. (51%). The firm changed their name to Asset Management One Co. Ltd. in 2016 when DIAM Co., Ltd., the asset management division of Mizuho Trust & Banking Co., Ltd., Mizuho Asset Management Co., Ltd., and Shinko Asset Management Co., Ltd. merged. Headquartered in Tokyo, AMO offers discretionary and non-discretionary investment advisory services to pension funds, public funds, financial institution, institutional clients, and corporate clients. They are a responsible investor and signatory to the UN Principles for Responsible Investment (UNPRI).

Shinko Asset Management Co., Ltd. (SAM) is the asset management subsidiary of Mizuho Asset Management Co., Ltd. itself a subsidiary of Asset Management One Co., Ltd. in Japan. Originally established as Ooi Investment Trust Co., Ltd. in 1961, the firm became Shinko Investment Trust Management Co., Ltd. in 2000 when Taiyo Investment Trust & Management and Shin-Wako Securities Investment Trust Management. They changed their name to Shinko Asset Management Co., Ltd. in 2010. The firm manages a diverse range of investment trusts and are involved in investments related to climate change issues.
