Jonathan D. Schuman

Mr. Jonathan D.
Schuman is Executive Vice President at Matthews International Capital Management LLC.
Prior to joining Matthews International in 2010, Mr. Schuman was a Managing Director at PineBridge Investments (formerly AIG Investments) in Tokyo, where he is responsible for institutional sales and client relations, product development, marketing and RFP functions for AIG’s third-party investment management business in Japan.
He also served as Assistant General Counsel for Legal and Government Affairs for AIG Companies, Japan and Korea.
Mr. Schuman earned a J.D.
from Harvard Law School, an M.A.L.D from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and a B.A.
in Asian Studies from Williams College.
He has served as Co-Chair of the Financial Services Committee at the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan.
He is fluent in Japanese.
