Pacific State Bank was chartered November 2, 1987 and is currently comprised of a ten member Board of Directors. It was conceived under the belief that the Bank should be a broad based, community owned bank, created to serve the businesses of Stockton and the San Joaquin County. The initial shareholders totaled 525 with 516,290 shares sold, thus generating $5,162,900 and creating the largest capitalized, independent bank in the history of San Joaquin County. The bank has issued a 1 for 5 stock option or 20% in 1990 to increase the shares outstanding to 619,540. The bank has built a reputation for professionalism, sound business acumen and is the boldest, brightest financial institution in Alameda, Calaveras, San Joaquin, Stanislaus and Tuolumne Counties.
