Faraj Mohamed Said Mohamed

Faraj Mohamed Said Mohamed is Vice Chairman of National Oil Corp.
Prior to his current positions at National Oil, he was Member of the Management Committee from 2004 to 2006 and Senior Advisor from 1999 to 2004.
He was General Manager of Exploration and Production Department, Department Manager, Chief of the Geological Group, and Geologist for National Oil Corp.
from 1968 to 1979.
Mr. Mohamed was Secretary of the People's Committee and Chairman of the Management Committee for Arabian Gulf Oil Co. from 1983 to 1999 and a Member of the Management Committee, General Manager of the Exploration Department, and Geology Department Manager from 1979 to 1983.
He was Geologist of ESSO Standard Libya Ltd.
from 1966 to 1968.
Mr. Mohamed received a BSc degree in Geology from the University of Libya in 1966 and an MSc degree from the University of South Carolina, USA in 1974.
