BonVenture Management GmbH (BVM) is a socially-responsible venture capital firm established in 2003 and headquartered in Munich, Germany. BVM aims to use venture capital investing as a means to tackle social and ecological problems in the German-speaking countries. They also strive to improve the economic efficiency, transparency and sustainability of the social and ecological sectors. The firm manages two portfolios, one structured as a venture capital fund in which investors become limited partners, and the other set up as a foundation receiving tax-deductible contributions. BVM is based on the idea that in view of growing social and ecological issues as well as widespread public sector deficits, there should be a shift toward all citizens using their material and intellectual resources to help develop new solutions, advocating among policy-makers and society at large, and encouraging other citizens to contribute to and replicate these solutions.
