Chris Sergeant

Chris Sergeant, Senior Healthcare Industry Analyst, joined Stifel Nicolaus in the spring of 2001 with over 17 years of experience in both the healthcare and financial services industries.
Mr. Sergeant was previously Senior Vice President and healthcare research analyst with Craig-Hallum Capital Group, Managing Director of Equity Research - Healthcare at Dain Rauscher, Inc. and Portfolio Manager at the Medallion University Fund, all in Minneapolis.
For 9 years (1984-1993) while at ReliaStar Financial Corp., Mr. Sergeant held various positions including, Director of Business Development - Managed Care, Controller and Treasurer - Specialty Lines, Project Manager and Research Analyst.
While in these positions, Mr. Sergeant work directly in the managed care industry.
This work included playing a leading role in the management buyout (MBO) of Core, Inc. from Baxter International.
Mr. Sergeant subsequently served as a member of the Board of Directors of Core, Inc. Mr. Sergeant received his MBA and BS degrees from the University of Minnesota.
Mr. Sergeant's plan is to take a three-pronged approach to research coverage of the healthcare industry.
He will cover a number of companies in the managed care, bio/pharma and med-tech sectors.
