Tekort Britse handelsbalans daalt

Import daalt harder dan export.

(ABM FN-Dow Jones) Het tekort op de Britse handelsbalans is in januari gedaald. Dit meldde het Britse statistiekbureau ONS vrijdag.

Het tekort daalde met 3,7 miljard Britse pond tot 1,9 miljard pond.

De export daalde in januari met 5,3 miljard pond, terwijl de import daalde met 8,9 miljard pond.

De uitvoer naar de EU liep in de eerste maand van 2021 met liefst 41 procent terug, waardoor de totale export met 19,3 procent daalde. De import uit de EU liep overigens ook met bijna 29 procent terug in januari.
