Sophia Lu has a background in identifying emerging trends in the technology industry and translating them into product and investment opportunities.
Before joining Tola, she played a critical role in driving the strategy and direction of Microsoft’s Cloud and AI businesses.
Her responsibilities included product strategy, market trend analyses, M&A due diligence, customer strategy, and long-term thought leadership.
During her time with Microsoft, Sophia built deep expertise in two areas – business applications and AI.
She identified growth opportunities for Microsoft’s business application suite and evaluated acquisition targets ranging from $5M-$20B.
She also led thought leadership work in AI, where she identified a set of strategic pivots to accelerate and grow the AI business.
