Dominic Brenninkmeijer

Dominic Brenninkmeyer has 30 years of international retail experience.
From 1999 until 2006 he was CEO of C&A, Germany's largest apparel retailer with revenues of €2.8 billion, as well as a member of the European Executive Board for C&A Europe with revenues of over €5 billion.
During this period he oversaw the turnaround of the German operation.
Previously he held various positions as Senior Manager and CEO in the retail sector in Europe, Canada and the US, where he gained extensive experience in sales, marketing and business development.
He is an active member of several committees and boards in the family business and acts as mentor for younger family members.
Mr. Brenninkmeyer has been a member of the Præsidium (steering committee) of the German retail association BAG for several years, and is a member of the advisory council of Commerzbank in Frankfurt.
Mr. Brenninkmeyer has joined Bregal Investments as a Senior Partner as of June 2006 with a particular focus on the identification, evaluation and pursuit of new business opportunities in Germany and Eastern Europe.
His business style is hands-on and characterized by openness for new challenges.
