Exxon Mobil Corporation is een aardolieconcern georganiseerd rond 3 activiteitensectoren:

- raffinage en distributie (85,8% van de omzet): 5,5 miljoen vaten met aardolieproducten (dieselolie, benzine, stookolie, smeermiddelen, motorolie, enz.) verkocht per dag in 2023;

- petrochemie (6,6%), met name olie, aromaten, alcohol, ethyleen, elastomeren, propylenen en polymeren (19,4 Mt verkocht in 2023) bestemd voor de farmaceutische, cosmetica-, textiel- en elektriciteitsindustrie, enz.
