Beschrijving van de bedrijfsactiviteiten: Aramco

Saudi Arabian Oil Company, ook bekend als Saudi Aramco, is een in Saudi-Arabië gevestigde geïntegreerde olie- en gasmaatschappij. De primaire bedrijfssegmenten van de onderneming zijn het Upstream-segment en het Downstream-segment. De activiteiten van het Upstream-segment bestaan uit de exploratie, ontwikkeling en productie van ruwe olie, condensaat, aardgas en aardgasvloeistoffen (NGL's). De activiteiten van het segment Downstream bestaan voornamelijk uit raffinage en petrochemische productie, levering en handel, distributie en elektriciteitsopwekking. De andere bedrijfsactiviteiten van het segment Downstream omvatten basisoliën, smeermiddelen en detailhandelsactiviteiten. De chemische activiteiten van het bedrijf strekken zich uit van de productie van basischemicaliën, zoals aromaten, olefinen en polyolefinen, tot complexe producten, zoals polyolen, isocyanaten en synthetisch rubber. Het Bedrijf is vertegenwoordigd in drie wereldwijde energiemarkten: Azië, Europa en Noord-Amerika.
