Presently CIRES has a nameplate capacity of 200 thousand tons/year of the suspension type of PVC resins (S-PVC) and about 15 thousand tons/year of emulsion type of PVC resins for paste grade (E-PVC).PVC products manufactured at present are S-PVC and E-PVC. It is a company's commitment to continuously supply its clients with high quality resins and therefore makes it permanent to fit its production facilities to the state-of-the-art of manufacturing technologies. As a result of that, production is stable and predictable, thus allowing keeping quality unaltered. Production stability is monitored through the supervision of the conditions in which the process is being conducted and also by means of laboratorial testing and analyses to finished and semi-finished products, within the scope of the quality control process. CIRES is the only PVC manufacturer in Portugal being located in a very convenient geographical place to supply the Iberian market. According to its marketing strategy, the Company privileges the clients of this market, which is CIRES domestic market, endeavoring to strengthen its position of domestic supplier of the PVC processing industry in Iberia through the quality of its products and services rendered. On the other hand, CIRES diversified exports to several EU countries, with the purpose in mind to build and secure regular market shares in those countries. Taking into account the importance of service rendered to clients to promote a sustainable and enduring commercial relationship, the Technical Assistance of CIRES, based upon lab and technical capabilities of the plant and of other scientific institutions with which has regular cooperation agreements, supports its clients by providing technical training and formation to their people, by studying and making formulations for new products and by carrying out lab testing to characterize PVC based products. The company's main markets include Portugal and Spain. Its main applications of S-PVC include piping, compounds, cables and calendaring as well as of E-PVC include artificial leather, waterproof membranes, conveying belts and wall paper. The firm exports its products to Italy, the United Kingdom and France.
