Michel has been Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Choice Hotels International, Inc. since March 2008.
She has been Senior Vice President and General Counsel of LQ Corp.
since December 2001 and Secretary since January 2002.
Ms. Michel is Secretary, Senior Vice President and General Counsel for La Quinta Properties, Inc. and an Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Inc. Prior to joining La Quinta Properties, she was General Counsel and Secretary of Sunterra Corp.
from June, 2000 to April, 2001 and Deputy General Counsel and Assistant Secretary from August, 1999 to June, 2000.
Previously, Ms. Michel was Senior Counsel of W.R.
Grace & Co. from 1991 to 1999.
Ms. Michel received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Miami in 1977 and a JD from the University of Miami School of Law in 1980.
