S-PK is a regional private equity investor focused on small and medium-sized German companies, specifically businesses operating in Länder Bayern and Saarland. They invest chiefly in companies who already have a business relationship with the Sparkassen. S-PK invests primarily in growth financing and corporate succession transactions. They also consider investments in spinoffs as well as bridge financing and turnaround situations. They do not invest seed capital. S-PK targets established companies with EUR 5 to 50 million in turnover, with a distinctive technology or concept and a mature product or service, as well as a significant market share and customer base. They favor companies whose post-investment equity ratio will be over 20%, and who have a track record of stable cash flow generation. The firm invests between EUR 250 thousand and 2 million, in the form of minority equity interests, sometimes majority interests with co-investors, as a silent partner or through mezzanine loans. Their targeted exit horizon is five to ten years.
