Ronald Makomva

Mr. Makomva is responsible for deal origination, investment analysis and execution, as well as post investment management of Sphere's portfolio companies.
Prior to his role at Sphere, he held positions in Deutsche Bank and Standard Bank's investment banking divisions.
His investment banking experience spans several years, during which he advised local and international companies on acquisitions, disposals, leveraged buy-outs and capital raising initiatives.
He also has taxation experience acquired during his tenure at the South African Revenue Services.
After completing his BCom degree at Rhodes University and postgraduate qualification in accounting with University of Natal, Mr. Makomva qualified as a Chartered Accountant, having served his articles with PKF Inc. He serves on the board of Lace Diamond Mine.
