Dr. Raphael A. Schorr is Partner & Portfolio Manager at HighVista Strategies LLC.
He oversees both internal and external investment strategies.
He joined HighVista in 2004 to develop the investment strategy for HighVista’s endowment funds.
Since that time, he has been involved in nearly all areas of HighVista’s portfolio, including responsibility for many of the firm's hedge fund and private investment relationships.
He has broad experience investing in structured credit, uncorrelated assets, and emerging markets.
Prior to joining HighVista, Dr. Schorr worked in Strategic Planning at Spirit Airlines.
He was part of the team that helped grow the airline into one of the most successful airlines in the US.
He received an AB from Harvard College, and an SM and PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he was a Department of Defense Fellow.
His graduate study focused on Operations Research and Transportation/Logistics.
