Marianne Drost

Marianne Drost is Senior Vice President, Deputy General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Verizon Communications, Inc. Dr. Drost joined GTE Legal Department in 1977.
She became Senior Attorney of the Legal Department for Chesebrough-Pond's, Inc. in 1984.
She rejoined GTE Corp.
in 1985 as Corporate Secretary.
Dr. Drost had been Vice President, Deputy General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of GTE since August 1997.
Previously, she was elected Vice President and an Associate General Counsel of Corporate for GTE Service Corp.
in 1991.
Prior to joining GTE, she worked at Ritter Tapper and Totten.
Dr. Drost is a Member of the American Society of Corporate Secretaries, the American Bar Association and the Westchester-Fairfield Corporate Counsel Association.
She is a former Director and past President of the Fairfield-Westchester Chapter of the American Society of Corporate Secretaries and a past Director of Literacy Volunteers of America.
Dr. Drost received an undergraduate degree from Connecticut College and a Doctorate degree from the University of Connecticut.
