Mr. John T.
Oxtoby is a Senior Vice President & Director of Sustainable Investment Research at Ariel Investments LLC.
He is responsible for leading sustainable investment research and portfolio company engagement for Ariel’s domestic equity team and sits on the investment committee.
Prior to joining Ariel, Mr. Oxtoby served in the Obama-Biden White House as Associate Director of the President’s Jobs Council, a CEO-led advisory council focused on growing the clean energy economy and expanding workforce training.
He also worked as a Special Assistant in the White House Office of Public Engagement and as an aide to the chairman of the council of economic advisers.
He graduated with a BA in economics from Harvard College and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School.
