Hunter Wessells

The American Board of Urology is a non-profit organization established in 1934 that certifies urologists who meet educational, professional, and examination criteria in general urology and subspecialties such as pediatric urology, endourology, female urology, oncology, urogynecology, and reconstructive pelvic surgery. The non-profit company is based in Charlottesville, VA. The organization administers initial certification, subspecialty certification, recertification, and maintenance of certification programs, which include practice assessments, continuing medical education credits, professionalism modules, and patient safety training. The pediatric urology subspecialty certification requires candidates to hold a general urology certificate and demonstrate active pediatric practice.
