Bancroft is an active manager which invests in companies in Central Eastern Europe, the Baltic countries, the Balkans and Turkey. Through their Bancroft I fund, they pursue later-stage investment opportunities in businesses with strategic value and experienced management in the media, engineering, telecommunications and export-oriented manufacturing sectors. Through their Bancroft II fund the firm aims to invest €10-€20 million in strategic and mature companies led by experienced management teams with successful track records in all sectors except armaments, tobacco, spirits, gambling, and most kinds of property investing. They take minority or majority positions in investee companies and always seek a board seat. Bancroft will invest larger amounts with co-investors and typically aims to exit an investment in three to five years.
