Ottenstroer is Chairman at Florida Prepaid College Board and a Director at Riverplace Capital Management, Inc. Mr. Ottenstroer co-founded The Unit Companies, a nationwide supplier of distribution services.
In 1989 Unit was sold to GATX and was subsequently renamed GATX Logistics.
Since the sale of Unit, Mr. Ottenstroer has been an active venture capital investor.
He is a board member of St. Johns River Water Management District, the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management, and Jacksonville University.
His charitable board involvements include The Community Foundation, The Hospice Foundation, and Guardian of Dreams.
Mr. Ottenstroer received his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota.
