Shere is a Director of Research at Tuohy Brothers Investment Research, Inc. He joined the firm in January of 2010, focusing primarily on the natural gas infrastructure and utilities markets.
In August 2011, he became DOR, leading Tuohy Bros' trademark "sum-of-the-parts" research and indepth commodity analysis.
Prior to joining the firm in January 2010, Mr. Shere garnered over ten years experience as an energy/utilities analyst on the BUY-side (Scottwood Capital Management), the SELL-side (Calyon Securities), and in independent research (Standard & Poor's).
He also worked in industry, assisting AES Corp.
(a global power company) with its investor relations/media functions in '07/'08.
He was ranked the 2nd best Utilities Analyst in the U.S.
for 2002 by the Wall Street Journal, the best performing domestic Utilities Analyst for 2006 by Zacks, and the most accurate earnings estimator for the IPP industry by Forbes/Starmine in 2005.
Mr. Shere earned an MBA from New York University and has been a CFA Charter holder since 1998.
