Christina Raasch

Dr. Christina Raasch is a Research Analyst at Kiel Institute for the World Economy.
She is an Associate Professor of Digital Economy at Kühne Logistics University.
Her second affiliation is with the Kiel Institute for the World Economy (IfW), where she is part of the Research Area focusing on Knowledge Creation and Growth.
In her research, she focuses on open and user innovation and ways of enhancing innovativeness in entrepreneurial and established firms.
She investigates user-contested and user-complemented markets, that is, markets in which individual user innovators, online communities, and crowdsourcing are essential sources of innovation that can either benefit or threaten firms.
During her habilitation studies, which she completed at TU Hamburg-Harburg, she spent 1.5 years as a visiting researcher at MIT Sloan School of Management.
From 2013 to early 2017, she was an Assistant Professor of Technology Management at Technische Universität Munich.
She studied economics at the universities of St. Gallen and Oxford universities and holds a doctorate in management from Friedrich Alexander University in Erlangen-Nuremberg.
