Arne Sorenson

Arne M.
Sorenson was the President, Chief Executive Officer & Director of Marriott International, Inc. He was also the Chief Executive Officer of Courtyard By Marriott and the President & Co-Chief Executive Officer of Clym Ltd. Sorenson was the Chairman-Regents Board of Luther College and the Chairman-Global Initiative of The Economic Club of Washington.
He was also the Chairman of the U.S.
Travel Association, CEO Roundtable LLC, and Corporation for Travel Promotion.
Sorenson served as an Independent Director at Microsoft Corp.
from 2017 to 2021 and at Walmart, Inc. from 2011 to 2013.
He was a Director at Special Olympics, Inc. and a Trustee at The Brookings Institution.
Sorenson started his career as a Partner at Latham & Watkins LLP and later became the President & Chief Operating Officer of Fullerton Marriott at California State University Hotel.
He was also a Member of the International Trade Administration, The Business Roundtable, and President's Export Council.
Sorenson received his undergraduate degree from Luther College and his graduate degree from The University of Minnesota Law School.
