Stavros Ioannou

Stavros Ioannou is currently the Group COO, Director & Deputy CEO at Eurobank Ergasias Services & Holdings SA. He also holds the position of Group COO, Director & Deputy CEO at Eurobank SA. In addition, he is the Vice Chairman of Bulgaria Ad and the Chairman of Be-Business Exchanges SA. Mr. Ioannou is a Non-Independent Director at Eurobank Cyprus Ltd.
and a Member of the Supervisory Board at Eurobank Bulgaria AD.
He is also a Member of the Institute of Bankers in England & Wales and the Economic Chamber of Greece.
Formerly, Mr. Ioannou served as the Chief Executive Officer of Eurobank AD from 2005 to 2008.
He was also the Vice Chairman of The Hellenic Bank Association from 2015 to 2016.
Mr. Ioannou held the position of Vice Chairman at EFG Eurolife Life Insurance SA. He served as the Chairman of ERB IT Shared Services SA from 2010 to 2014 and the Chairman of ERB Financial Planning Services from 2013 to 2014.
He was also the Chairman of Eurobank Remedial Services S.A.
in 2014.
Mr. Ioannou served as the Vice Chairman of Cardlink SA from 2013 to 2015 and as a Director at Bancpost SA from 2012 to 2013.
He was a Non-Executive Director at Grivalia Properties Real Estate Investment Co. from 2017 to 2019 and a Director at Eurolife ERB General Insurance SA from 2015 to 2016.
Mr. Ioannou also held positions as a Director at Millennium Bank SA, ERB Property Services Ltd., and Eurolife ERB Insurance Group Holdings SA. He was the Head of Retail, Private Banking & Operations at Barclays Bank Plc from 1990 to 1997.
Mr. Ioannou graduated from The University of Wales and holds a graduate degree.
He also attended the University of Piraeus and holds an undergraduate degree.
