Oh-Seok Hyun

Oh-Seok Hyun is currently a Committee Member at the International Development Cooperation Institute since 2005, a Member at The World Bank since 2012, and a Professor at Korea National Diplomatic Academy.
Previously, he was the General Director at the National Economic Advisory Council (Korea) from 1999 to 2000, an Independent Director at GS Holdings Corp.
from 2018 to 2024, and served as the Deputy Prime Minister & Minister-Strategy for the Government of South Korea.
He was also a Professor at Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology in 2008, the President of Korea Development Institute from 2009 to 2013, and the President of Korea International Trade Association from 2002 to 2008.
Additionally, he served as the Dean of National Tax College in 2000.
Dr. Hyun holds a doctorate degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1984, an undergraduate degree from Seoul National University in 1974, and a graduate degree from Seoul National University in 1976.
