In his past career Mr. Thomas occupied the position of Project Manager at Orica Ltd., General Manager-Commercial Development at Aurizon Holdings Ltd. and Commercial Manager at North West Infrastructure.

He received an undergraduate degree and a graduate degree from Curtin University and an MBA from the University of Melbourne.
