He is also on the board of European School of Management & Technology GmbH and EvoBus GmbH.

In the past Mr. Hartwig held the position of Vice President-Daimler Trucks Human Resources at Mercedes-Benz Group AG and Director-Human Resources at Daimler Greater China Ltd. (a subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz Group AG).

He received an undergraduate degree from the University of Mannheim.
