He previously occupied the position of Associate Professor at Peking University, Director-International Economic Law Department at Peking University, Member of China International Economic & Trade Arbitration Commission and Vice Director-Word Trade Organization at China Law Society.

He received an undergraduate degree from Dalian University of Technology and a doctorate from Peking University.
