Mr. Jeffrey W. Priest is President, CEO & Portfolio Manager at General American Investors Co., Inc.

Previously, Mr. Priest served as Managing Member and President of Amajac Capital Management, LLC, an investment advisory company he founded in 1999. From 1997 to 1999 he served as Senior Research Analyst and Equity Partner with Para Advisors. From 1994 through 1996 he was employed by Bear Stearns & Co. culminating in his position as a senior analyst with the firm's Risk Arbitrage Department with particular focus on valuation related issues and structure. From 1985 through 1990, he rose to the position of Head of Fixed Income Sales and Trading with Miller Tabak Hirsch & Co.

He served the Financial Accounting Standards Board as a member of the Emerging Issues Task Force on Acquisition Accounting as well as a contributor on a number of other projects.

Mr. Priest graduated from the College of Wooster in 1985 with a BA in English Literature and Duke University's Fuqua School of Business with an MBA in 1994.
