Gopal Krishna Pillai is a businessperson who has been at the head of 5 different companies is on the board of Tata International Ltd. (former Chairman) and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. and Chairman of Data Security Council of India and Chairman at Observer Research Foundation.

In his past career Mr. Pillai occupied the position of Chairman for Metropolitan Stock Exchange of India Ltd., Chief Negotiator-India at World Trade Organization, Joint Secretary-North East at India Ministry of Home Affairs, Deputy Secretary at India Ministry of Defence, Director & Joint Secretary at India Ministry of Surface Transport, Secretary of India Ministry of Commerce & Industry and Chairman for the University of Engineering & Management.

Mr. Pillai received an undergraduate degree from St. Joseph's College and a graduate degree from Indian Institute of Technology Madras.
