Founder of Braemar Tankers Ltd, Denis Andreas Petropoulos presently is Chairman of The Baltic Exchange Ltd. Mr. Petropoulos is also on the board of Tsakos Energy Navigation Ltd.

He previously was Executive Director & President-Braemar Asia Region at Braemar Shipping Services Plc and Joint Managing Director at Braemar ACM Shipbroking Ltd. (a subsidiary of Braemar Shipping Services Plc) and Director at Braemar Tankers Ltd.

He received an undergraduate degree from the University of Surrey.
