Amy M. Griffin

AMY GRIFFIN is the Founder and Managing Partner of G9 Ventures.
Prior to founding G9, Amy worked at Sports Illustrated as a Sports Marketing and Olympic Manager.
Beginning in 2011, Amy leveraged her operational and branding experience to both invest in and work alongside early-stage companies.
In 2018, she formalized the portfolio into G9 Ventures.
In 2019, Amy co-founded Social Studies, a fully integrated party-planning rental platform that launched in July.
In addition to her work at G9 and Social Studies, Amy has held board positions at a number of organizations, including KIPP, The Boys’ Club of NYC, The Virginia Athletics Foundation, and The Mead Foundation.
Amy graduated from The University of Virginia with a BA in English and was the captain and MVP of the varsity women’s volleyball team.
She lives in New York City with her husband John and their four children.
Amy is an avid athlete who completed the Hawaii Ironman in 2017.
She is a relentless cheerleader of her children, a diehard fan of her home state of Texas, and is constantly searching for an authentic burrito in NYC.
