(ABM FN-Dow Jones) Oprichter van luxeconcern Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy Bernard Arnault slaat de handen ineen met de voormalig topman van UniCredit Jean Pierre Mustier om een Spac op te zetten die kan investeren in Europese financiële bedrijven. Deze SPAC, Pegasus Europe, krijgt een notering in Amsterdam, vertelde Mustier maandag in een interview met de Financial Times.
De Spac, oftewel special-purpose acquisition corporation, is een lege cheque-corporatie, bedoeld om bedrijven naar de beurs te brengen zonder het traditionele IPO-proces te doorlopen.
Tikehau Capital en Financière Agache, een holding van Groupe Arnault, zullen Pegasus Europe sponsoren, via een belang van tenminste 10 procent. De Spac wil honderden miljoenen euro's ophalen. JPMorgan treedt op als adviseur, aldus de Financial Times.
Euronext Amsterdam is momenteel in trek voor Spacs. Vorige week kreeg ESG Core Investments via een dergelijke constructie een notering aan het Damrak.
